Lynda Fassa, founder - In 1993 Lynda Fassa was a happy new mom, an out-of-work (and over weight) former model, and a big dreamer. As part of redefining her new life as a mom, she longed to make a positive difference for her newborn, Layla, and possibly even for children everywhere. In 1994 she founded Green Babies out of her NYC apartment with a simple idea: that every baby is wonderful and deserves the very best and the very safest products the world can offer. As part of her philosophy that "natural is better', Lynda has authored two books: Green Babies, Sage Moms and Green Kids, Sage Families, both from NAL Penguin and is currently working on her third, The Green Goddess Guide to Happiness.

Lynda frequently lectures on safe, easy and fun choices for parenting groups and is a frequent blogger for sites including Beliefnet, Scholastic, Grist, Nick Parents Connect, Treehugger and Planet Green, where she is also the baby and family expert. Lynda often appears in major print media including People Magazine, The New York Times, Parents, Parenting, Working Mother and many more and on television on The Today Show, Access Hollywood, Planet Green, Fox News Happy Hour, CBS Sunday Morning, ABC News and more.

She lives in Westchester County, NY with her husband and business partner, Hossein, their three daughters and countless furry friends.

Hossein Fassa, COO - In 1996, having worked the better part of a decade in New York's downtown theater scene and as Executive Director of the the famed acting school, Stella Adler Conservatory (now the Stella Adler Studio), Hoss decided to take a little time off to help his wife Lynda with growing her new business, Green Babies.

Fifteen years later, he's still there. Now as the company's COO (Chief Organic Officer) he steers Green Babies on it's core mission to become the go-to brand for safe and environmentally sustainable baby care, wear and needs while providing values and value driven choices for consumers. He's a big believer in domestic production and currently all Green Babies' apparel and toys are manufactured in the U.S.A.

Over the past 17 years the company's product line has grown to include wooden toys and in April, 2011 a licensed baby body care line whose development Lynda and Hoss closely oversaw. In the Fall of 2009 they opened their first brick-and-mortar store in Nyack, New York.

In 2007 he started his line of men's and boys' organic cotton T-shirts, House of Hoss. An avid soccer player, he volunteers his time for the American Youth Soccer Organization as Area Director for Westchester county, New York and can be found most weekends coaching 4 year olds. He is a graduate of Imperial College (UK) with a degree in mathematics.
